Dude, if you got LT's and ORY, get Hooker cat-back. You'll LOVE the sound. I heard it on a Z28 a few days ago in person, and OMG it's so nice. I don't have any clips of it, but I know there's lotsa ppl here w/ clips so just wait for one to post it.

Either that or true dual.

Dude..? LOL I'm a dudette =)
Anywho...I was planning on Hooker, but I hadnt heard it with LT's, and I also wanted to hear some others before I went with that. That was my mistake with the LM, not hearing it before I bought it- it sounded good with stock manifolds on my Z, but I had never heard it with LT's till I put mine on, and ewww it's a nasssty sound.

Just about every "single"(not true dual) exhaust system out there will have some rasp without cats on an LS1(some worse than others). The SLP dual/dual is the only one I've heard that did not rasp any without the cats. I don't know how, but it sounds great with headers and offroad pipes(only loud at WOT).

BTW, Hooker sounds good too without cats(little rasp), but the SLP dual/dual is my choice in that situation.

SheDevlLS1, can you post some clips of your exhaust now with the Lt's and Loudmouth? BTW you could always try some 18 inch Dynomax mufflers.

SheDevil, why not just get rid of the Loudmouth Resonator and do what 73307 had said and put in a 24219 Dynomax (18") Bullet Race Muffler.. ratio411's Dynomouth Info..

I have heard from a couple of people that with LTs, ORY and Dynomouth is sweet sounding.. Basically the DM is just as loud as the LM if not a little quieter @ idle but the DM does not have the rasp that LM produces..

Since my 02 Z has stock manifolds, Ypipe and Intermediate Pipe... I had the DM installed (18" Bullet) and I just love how it sounds overall...

Its not an LS1 but i had the same setup on my LT1, Hooker LT's, o/r 3in y-pipe into a loudmouth exhaust. I didnt like the sound at all. It was a little raspy and didnt have the deep sound i had expected. So i got a cutout which rumbled things out a good bit but after a few months of it I got tired of the no refined sound and decided to do true duals. The soundclips are in my sig. 2.5in H-pipe true duals with a bullet muffler on each side into turndowns.
