I HAVE searched and everyone seems to get good gains from them BUT i just want to know if it would be benifical at this point and time. I have a 98 TA with MAc mids, org, SLP lid, and fake GMMG exhaust. Would a ported TB help me at all?

You will see gains even on a stock car so I would say it is definitely worth it. Might drop a tenth or 2 and gain a mph or 2.

 

A small gain maybe but not a tenth or 2.

 

you'll DEFINATELY feel a difference in throttle response. No joke, seat of the pants gain, porting my stock TB was more of a "feel" increase than when I put my catback and lid on at the same time.

 

Go for it. If you do it yourself and know what your doing its free. Every little bit helps. Did mine and it took a .1 off my quarter. Even if your paying someone to do it for you its pretty cheap compared to buying a bigger TB that won't help until you do H/C.

 

I might have a LS6 intake and a ported stock T/B for sale soon. I should be getting my FAST 90/90 back today from being ported.

I got mine ported for $75. It's good for 7-10 rwhp even on a stock motor. Not earth shattering gains but for the price it's a worthwhile mod
