Picking up my car on the 21st maybe sooner. Just curious is the "SS" ram air hood system usually left alone or do most people modify it somewhat? Sorry never had a LS! or SS before....Always had LT1 Z28's.

 

Some people add a ram air setup since the hood doesn't function too much as ram air. Ram air hp is arguable and gets the air filter very dirty really fast and is not worth it IMO. Most people do just leave it alone.

I see you have the whisper airlid on your SS ...is it worth it?

 

Its almost everyones first mod. Very worth it.

 

yes get the lid. Also you should think about doing the free ram air mod under the air box as well. You will have a great intake system with the lid,fra, and hood.
