so i bought a 2000 camaro z28 w/137k mi, first steps?
i bought a 2k camaro z28 a-4 w/137k miles on it and i have never owned an ls1 so what should be my first steps besides a new motor
i want to drive this one till it blows
(i bought it $for 2,800)
oh also the car always runs on 210
car has:headers (shortys),flomaster,and k&n filter
things that i have done:
1. oil changed synthetic. old oil was dark black and needed almost a quart
2.checked transmission fluid, looks ok
3.free ram air mod
4.free egr mod
5. tb bypass
6. working on maf porting right now
what else can i do since im kind of broke right now till i start workin again in a month or so

A ls1 runs at 210 form the factory, I would not worry about the heat.
There is a lot that can be done to a 2000, it just depends on what you want to do with the car.

Sell the shortys and go long tubes. From what I have heard is that the shortys aren't really that much better than the original manifolds.

Congrats on your purchase, a good staring point is to verify that the maintenance corresponding with the current mileage is up to date. Oh, and personally I'd swap out the flowmaster with a LM2, they sound and flow better.
