seen one go for $800, but some for $3000 to people that dont know how to use the internet and buy a new shortblock for that price. not many around here tho, i think a rebuilder like jasper buys all of them from the scrap yards.

 

I've seen used LS6's go for $2500 - $3000 with under 20K miles. A new LS6 longblock is only $5300 shipped if you check around, so they're running about 1/2 of new which is usually about right for used parts IMO.
