Smoke

I got some Futura Ultra Z's a few weeks ago. I have noticed the tire spin has gone down, so I figured that these tires are much sticker than the stock tires. Today I was out driving and I dumped the clutch from a stop and turned the tires over a few times. Then about a few miles down the road tried it again, but no luck all i got was the clutch smoking. So i thought that these tires were just to hot and stuck to the road. the clutch has not been slipping. just wondering if anyone else has encouter this problem. i have the stock clutch, its got 36,196 miles on it. highway miles
ANYONE else running Futura Ultra Z's

I would venture to say you are used to old tires and now have new ones. There is usually a drastic change with new tires of any kind. As far as the clutch... maybe it's seen a little bit of abuse and needs to be babied if it's gonna last another 20,000 miles.

For what its worth, I had Futura Ultra Zs on my car when it was stock, they were a huge improvement over the original Good Year GSCs. I used to be able to spin the tires off the line by just flooring it, but with the Futuras, I had to brake torque it to get the tires to break loose. Some people may laugh at buying Pep Boys tires, but they were actually pretty good. Now I have crap Kumhos, and theyre hard as a rock. I have no traction at all!!!
