Exclamation Smething to check on your cars !

When I went thru my exhaust rattle experience, one of the things I checked was the spare tire & jack.

When I pulled out the tire, I looked down and noticed a small hole directly under where the tire sits.

This hole leads straight to the outside (bottom) of the car, and was open !!

I plugged it with silicone and duct tape.

So, this means all the time I have owned the car (2 years , 26K) I have had the possibility of carbon monoxide (exhaust) entering the passenger compartment as well as water, noise, etc.

Niiccee ...

I went to the dealer, but we were unable to pull up a picture of this area to check for a plug P/N.

Typical - my SS buddy here at work did not drive his car today, so I can't look at his.

Anyway, let this serve as a head's up.

That is a drain hole. In case your hatch leaks or your antenna leaks and water enters it drains out rather than sitting . I would unplug that. You won't get carbon monoxide poisoning from leaving it open.

All Camaros have that hole. Don't worry about it, its a drain like the person above said. Its especially helpful for power antennas which require a drain.
