SLP Y-Pipe with GMMG Chambered Exhaust?
As I'm waiting for my GMMG system to come, I've been thinking if I should order an SLP Y-Pipe to go with it? What do you guys think? Would I get any gains from the Y-pipe? Does it go well with GMMG?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Which Y-Pipe would work best with the GMMG system? I don't think the GMMG piping is 3 inches in diameter, I believe its 2 1/2 or 2 3/4......So for the GMMG guys on this forum, what kind of Y-pipe do you have?
The GMMG comes with a 3 inch I-pipe that you can have installed. It's 3 inches to where it splits just over the axel. Where it splits to two 2 1/2 inch pipes into the chambered exhaust and then 2 1/2 inch pipes out the back of the car.
My car came with a 3 inch I-pipe already due to the Center Mount Exhaust. Since then I added a custom Y-Pipe. 2 1/2 inch downs to a flowtech Y with a 3 inch outlet.
When I added the custom Y-pipe I gained about 5 hp if I remember right. FWIW
