SLP Y-pipe

I just bought a stock 2002 Z28. I have added a SLP air lid and just ordered a magnaflow cat-back for it. I really do not want to do headers on this car so im wondering if the SLP replacement y-pipe will be worth the $200. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks
Derek

Re: SLP Y-pipe

Nope. I had one on my '99 only 'cause I bought it for $40 used and then hooked it up to some off-road pipes that deleted the cats. The only difference will be a little less ground clearance on the driver's side. If you look at the stock piece...yes, it's flat. But, it's also wider than the rest of the pipe. So, it's not really a restrictive point like people may claim.

Re: SLP Y-pipe

better spent elsewhere.

i would suggest maybe some suspension mods.

lowercontrol arms, maybe a new torque arm bushing. they will tighten up the rear end a bit.
