slp or ss exhaust

slp or ss exhaust

it is centered in the rear bumper and the rear bumper looked like it was cut out for it. is this factory or an add on. if factory on what package or option. i did a search but had 2million descriptions found. thanks, newbee

It's an SLP exhaust..It could have came from the factory or someone could have did it on their own.

It's called center mounted exhaust, like said before could be either. It is most likely stock though.

is the center exhaust better than the ss exhaust. how does it sound? i've only seen it on one ss, is it an uncommon (or popular) option?

There is the standard SLP SS exhuast, then there is the dual dual exhuast, and then the center mounted exhuast. I am not sure of the performance gains over the dual duals but the LS1s that came with it were rated at 345hp and also came with a SLP air lid.

The standard SS exhaust is NOT SLP. It is the same as the WS6 as far as pipes and muffer w/tips being the only difference.

The dual/dual was an option the same as the CME.

The 345 hp option was the dual/dual w/airlid. CME was an additional option. The CME is worth NO additional HP over the dual dual since it is the same muffler and pipes, just different tips.
