Thinking of getting a new MAF, and looking for opinions.

Thanks

I got the Granatelli a while back and it's holding up quite well. No complaints here.

Avoid the Granatelli at all costs. Had it on my LT1, gaine .9hp and lost 2 ft/lbs. On my buddys 2001 LS1 SS he killed his MAF, bought the granatelli, dynod about 15rwhp less than he had before, put my buddys stocker on and found it all. 2 bad stories..........My buddy, however, with a Pace MAF dynod 345rwhp with that, a lid/filter, and GMMG on an M6 01 WS6..........If I had to get another one (probably stick with stock if at all possible) I'd get that one.

On even a mildly modified LS1, the stock MAF is not a significant restriction. At most, rip out the screen, and pick up a little more flow. I've pressure tapped the ducting on other Gen-III applications, and saw little to no change in pressure before vs after the MAF at 320-340 g/s (enough for 410+ HP). IIRC, the MAF on an LS6 is the same as on all Gen-III V8's. Everything from the 4.8L LR4 to the 8.1L uses the same basic MAF..

Stick with the stock one, and save you money for other mods.

Here's an article. They don't seem to have any problems with the GMAFS.
