yes..

I read on the SLP Forums that someone had a fitment issue..

At the SLP CAD we had in TX, I looked at the cars that entered the carshow.. Many had the SLP lids and the same problem the poster on the forums stated. The front of the lid at the corners looks like it bends up somewhat. Not attractive and not the lid of choice for me now.

I have since decided on using a Whisper lid. I have read 0 posts about anyone having problems installing them or their fit.

$100 credit at SLP... I think I would get Floormats or something else.. How much is their maf? or how about their ram air kit?

the MAF was like 120...but i heard some people xperienced a loss of HP when switching to the 85mm...

i was thinking of saving $ and using the credit to buy the weld on sub frame connectors...or the TSB...what do ya think?

Thumbs up

I would highly suggest the Sub frame connector. I loved what one did to my last car.

Makes the car really handel well.. Loved it! Thumbs up!

the person that posted on the SLPENG forums actually went to the SLP factory. He lived near to it..
There, they told him that not all of the lids will fit perfectly.
They didnt try to help him out or swap with him.. NOTHING..
I personally think that is unacceptable. His post was deleted and he was stuck with a lid that looked bad installed..

My SLP lid fits fine. I do however, HATE that cheap @ss pipe they sent to hook up my air pump hose. It sticks straight out and causes my tube to rub the hood. The new ones come with an elbow fitting instead so they should be fine.

Mine fits perfectly. I have the new "elbow" and it looks factory with the fitted hose that comes with the kit.
