a lid is a lid is a lid..

that being said, I will state that once about 1.5 years ago or so, there was a public forum on the slpeng.com site.

A person posted that he bought the lid. It did not seal correctly. Being nearby, he went to the actual building SLP is at. talked to the people there, and instead of either going out to his car to make sure its on right or replaceing the unit, they just said that some are made better than others..

WTF is that? OMG! I would of been so mad at that point. So thats the power of the net.. I have read one persons negative experience (mind you I have owned SLP parts before this) and now will no longer purchase any SLP items.
They soon deleted the post without retort and not long after the whole SLP forum disappeared.

You meant to say "an aftermarket lid is a lid is a lid", right?

i have the blished lid, looks great, fit great, nice lil sotp gain. there was great post on here about 2 weeks ago or maybe on ls1.com or ls1tech.com which discussed the gains from this lid compared to stock. If i remember right in the quarter .15 was cut and gained 1-2mph. not too bad if ya ask me for under $100

It fits fine under a Z28 hood, BUT, it rubs under a SS hood! I know since I had both hoods in place...

Fits great with my powershot filter. Only thing I don't care for is the big SLP on the lid. But since I drive it more that look at the motor its not that big a deal.
