there is definitely a difference. i have seen multiple experiments where supposedly high flow filters dont flow any better than paper, but they let through way more particles, and some of the oil ends up coming off and contaminating the maf. a friend has a kn filter on a bmw, and it stopped running after 6k miles with the filter. i had to clean the maf, and it runs fine now. not sure i really wanna do that to my car for a questionable gain in power.

Lid itself is worth very little power
K&N filters on these cars are not worth any power...
