Wink slp level one suspension package

hey everyone, i've been looking into this (part # 70001), and well, up til now i've felt pretty positive about purchasing it until today...i saw a post a member on this site made saying they had purchased this package and were severely upset with it's outcome and the way their car sat after the new springs....so now i'm just curious if anyone else here has had a similar experience, or possible if anyone has bought this and been pleased with it....

...thanks in advance...

I am extremely happy with my Level 1. Here is a before and after:

It is possible that the upset person doesn't have the springs in the rubber isolator properly.

I just put that kit on my car. The SLP Eibach springs pictured above may be different. The 70001 kit does not lower your car like regular Eibach. The front of my car is exactly the same as stock, but the back is about 3/8" lower. The ride difference is dramatic. Handles 100% better. I was toying with a Z06 around a curve marked 45mph, and we were somewhere between 90 and 100. Not a hint of looseness, and no tire squeal. I need an alignment this week, but i say unless you need a lowering kit, go for it. Watch TByrnemotorsports.com. They offer deals all the time, and I got free shipping. The next week shipping cost, but the kit was like $50 cheaper. Good luck!

Wink

awesome, thanks for the responses you guys...i'm starting to feel a bit more confident about purchasing it again...

...now i'm just a lil curious if you two actually have the same thing or not considering the fact that you two had different outcomes with how much the ride height was lowered...

...i'm glad to hear that the setup helps the handling so much as to make it that noticeable, but i am somewhat looking into lowering the car just a lil bit....i just feel there's too much gap between the tire and the top of the wheel well...

...hhmmm, maybe a new suspension needs some more looking into, any more responses on this or other possibilities would be great, thanks in advance...

The "SLP Eibach's" on my car were part of the 70001 kit.

ok, still curious as to why you two had different ride heights after installing this kit/those springs....

...anyone else have this set on their car?

Mine came with it, and it's pretty close to 3/4 lower front and 1 in back. I love it, but it doesn't help traction at the track.

Just thought I'd give you my .02 cents worth as well. The susupension package works great however...

The Pro-kit looks to offer a better 'stance'
The panhard bar and rear lower control arms are just as flimsy as the stockers - they just have the poly bushings. ( I boxed mine)
As with any performance suspension...be prepared for a stiff ride.

I bought all this stuff from SLP because i didn't realize that there were people out there who offered better products. Don't get me wrong- the thing does handle great, but I think if I would have shopped around I could have done even better for about the same $$$.

There are definite pros and cons about this set up. Have a blast with whatever you decide!!!
