flp are good headers. slp come complete i believe for a lil bit of a cheaper price than flp. honestly i would run with slp just because they have been working with fbody for a long time. alot of people say it has bad clearance but i heard its like that so the y pipe doesnt bang like flp. and plus the slp are real good quality headers. thats the only thing people say bout the slp's that they hang low, but look around lately ive just been reading good performance reviews from others....my choice slp.

The SLP's are on sale right now until 15 March from New era performance; who are a supporting vendor of this sight. Just a heads up for you. That SS is sweet!! Check out mine. http://www.accesswave.ca/~scott3/P1010119.JPG
Who did the air box lid and fuel rail covers?? They are gorgeous! I wish I had thought of that myself! I might copy off of you.

They are for now. The 97 will probably be for sale this spring so I can slap some money on the 02.

SLP headers are pretty good from what I hear, but I believe JET HOTS and Pacesetters are just as good. SLP's are ungodly expensive and I doubt they are worth the close to $800 I see them advertised for.

Currently I have the SLP LM exhaust and will be running cats with whatever longtubes I get. SLP seems to be more stock friendly from what I am hearing, and as long as I use the cats, it shouldnt sound too bad should it?

I'm not a big fan of those 35th SS's, but wow man, nice Camaro!

I'd go with the FLP's BTW. I live close by their shop and those headers are quality. They sound and perform great too...

I'd buy a set of Hookers, or Pacesetters and spend the $300 savings on something else. FLPs have been around a while and have supposedly been redesigned to eliminate the "banging". SLPs don't have a very good rep with the hardcore race guys, but might be OK for a street application.

I have SLP headers on my SS - one of em They are great power wise but the clearance can be irritating. They hang lower than the others and can be tough in cities that don't have good roads as they can scrape alot. But once you learn how to manage inclines they are sweet! Ya know you'd think that since SLP has been working with the Camaro for so long they would design their stuff to fit perfectly...ah well. They are great headers!
