Re: SLP cold air
lids are basically a #1 mod for these cars...
the SLP cai is not very good.
look for the super sucker ram air or SSRA, www.lmperformance.com has them.
they are a MUCH better system.
do a search for SSRA, and for Lid for that matter...SEARCH is your friend. welcome to the board

Re: SLP cold air
funny you ask this question, i just installed this mod last night, to be honest with you i feel only a slight difference...the car is a little louder and a little more reponsive...i didnt do the cold air with it...i did a bunch of research and found it to be inconclusive many people say..."oh yeah definatly worth it" but it might gain you like 1 hp or something and not worth the additional cost. I know these cars love cold air and a lot of it...but tiny little mods like that arent gonna make your car that much faster.
Re: SLP cold air
I installed the slp cai on my car but I also added the slp lid as well that I bought off of the forums here. What teke184 says is true when you compare this system to the ssra but they both offer the same amount of increase at low speeds and where the ssra is better then slp cai/ftra (Fast Toys Ram Air) is at high speeds like 65 + because the ssra has the scoop sitting under the nose of the car where as the slp cai, actually gets the air from underneath in front of the radiator/ac condensor. One thing that I would be afraid of with the ssra is since my car scrapes on a lot of driveways, how would that ssra actually hold up? That is why I chose the slp cai and plus with the sotp feel that I gained flooring my car while doing 40 - 90 rear wheels break loose (Firestone Firehawks SZ50s). I recommend the slp cai, however, I can see that the ssra is better.
