SLP or aftermarket MAF install question

I just purchased an SLP MAF and am attempting to install it. Do aftermarket MAF's require some kind of adaptor to install?? (A large diameter hose w/ a couple clamps) It won't fit on the intake side in my aftermarket lid or stock lid. Your help is appreciated as always.

I bought it off ebay so it only came with the maf! Do I need the adaptor that's shown in the picture? I was afraid I did but wanted to see if it is necessary.

Yeah, it looks like you're gonna need that sleeve that it's supposed to come with.

Either, call SLP to see if they might sell it to you separately or head over to Home Depot and try to find a rubber (I guess?) sleeve that'll fit.
