SLP Aftermarket Intake Lid

Has anybody had any fit issues with the aftermarket SLP lid?

Mine fits like **** and is starting to warp around the hold down clips. It has undone it's self twice and popped out of the MAF boot several times.

Does the factory SS lid differ from the Z28 lid?

If so, is there something restrictive about the Factory SLP lid?

Thanx for the help, Todd

I have read of alot of people having problems with the fit of the slp airlids, with the main problem being the rear area not fitting right, never heard of it coming off of the MAF though. However there are alot of people here that will swear by the slp lids, and have had no problem with the fit.. I asked alot of questions b4 I chose which brand to buy. All of them gives about the same numbers performance wise, but I made my choice based on complaints, or lack thereof, of the fit. The SS lids are not as restrictive as the Z28 stock lids. Hope I helped you some.

Someone said that they had problems at first, then it was ok. Yours may be warped.

Yeah, the SLP stock lid found on some of the SS cars is less restrictive than a stock Z28 lid, but an aftermarket SLP lid is even better.
I have the SLP lid and have been very happy with it... no fit problems at all.
