Its no harder to install than any other H/C package. The power rating is fly wheel though not rwhp. Friend of mine has it on his A4 firehawk it put down 400 hp 401tq. So its a ok package but honestly for how much it is there are better offerings out there.

Any suggestions as to the best head/cam package for the $$? Looking for around 475-500hp at flywheel. Thanks

Call Mike at Rapid Motorsports. He just installed a H/C set-up on a 2002 SS M6 and got 503 RWHP and 437RWTQ.

i have not checked prices at rapidmotorsports however they had a test camaro at there website which listed what mods they did and 1/4 times so i was impressed with that. last winter my camaro club toured TPIS specialties. i believe their prices were $1200 for just the porting, and $1700 total for ls6 springs and i think new valves were included? (maybe). after reading slp's catalog i may decide to go with there spring kit (only) because they claim there springs are better than ls6. i would for sure spend a little extra for light weight valves. i think ls6 valves are sodium filled. i'm no drag racer, just my opinion.

I SECOND THIS RECOMMENDATION!!!

mikey did a stage 2 head and cam on my car and i put 425 to the wheels. If that doesnt sound impressive enough, i did it only with a lid and long tubes w/ cats with a restrictive centermount exhaust.

mikey recommended doing a ported TB, and a better catback or atleast muffler, he said i should be 440+ and if i delelted the cats, i would be looking a bit over 450rwhp.

and with his stuff, its definitly proven! he has a great rep. and his prices arent out rageous! plus he knows his $hit and is always available when u have a question! i am 100% happy he did my car!

go to www.rapidmotorsports.com and look at his contact information.

he responds to emails within a day, might be a little longer now, for he is swamped with work, but all you need to do, is just make an appt, drop ur car off and then soon after you have a monster!

much like any performance shop, they install what you want and then tune it!

just tell mikey what you are looking for, give him a descirption of what you are looking for in performance and every day driving and you go from there! i am happy i had him do it!
you need more specific detail, shoot me an email

There are cheaper ways to reach that 400+ rwhp mark. SLP is just too expensive in my opinion.
