Simple ? for you experts

On a 99Z, do I NEED to get the egr fittings and such for my headers? Plus, have any of you use, or can we use, an x pipe instead of a y pipe.

since you live in fl, get rid of AIR and EGR, since theres no emissons. if you dont get it tuned, the egr will immediately set a check engine light, and the AIR will set it afetr about a week (if you only choose to do one). what type of exhaust set up are you trying to run? i have true duals dumped at the axle, and have hooker lt's with lanes true duals (xpipe setup). so if your ? is will the x pipe fit, yes. and it sounds awesome as well.

Thanks for the info.I was looking at mabe getting Kooks or dynomax Lt, but I have not seen an x pipe for sale anywhere. I want the x pipe to hookup to my TSP rumbler.

an x pipe is true duals, you use a ypipe for catbacks (ie rumbler, loudmouth) if you get an xpipe, just get some 16" or 18" mufflers and put them on the xpipe and youll have duals. i have 16" moroso spiral mufflers on mine. tsp sells a true dual setup which is very nice. it will be expensive if you want to go over the axle though, to have tips out the back
