SI6 vs FM15

hey guys,

We all love cam choices don't we!!!

Stock LS1 Shortblock w/ ARP Rod Bolts

I'm ordering the PP2 heads from Speedinc and I've narrowed it down to two camshafts...

SI6 (232/240 .595/.610 112)

FM15 (236/239 .600/.611 111)

I've seen people using hte FM15 cam, but I haven't ran across anybody with the grind from Speedinc.

Or do these seem like too much cam (SS3600/3.73); and maybe I'd be better off with:

SI5 (231/237 .589/.595 112)

FM14 (232/234 .598/.598 112)

Thanks guys!

I'm running a 228-236 .614-.606 @ 114 + 2 And it's a lot of cam for stock cubes and an A4 (PT4000 with 4.10s)

I had the F-15 in my old 346 cube LS1 car and it was honestly too much for a daily driver.

I'd go with the F-14 if you plan on putting around the street as well as racing it.

I missed that with all the numbers in brackets. If it had been written like that I probably would have caught it.

So what did Speedinc suggest or did you ask? How much does having great street manners matter to you?

Sorry if I didn't type things out easy to read... hehe

I've decided on the F14 HL cam... although I'll have SpeedInc tune it for me as they're the closest "good" tuner to me...............

Make sure you get some of the new dual springs designed for the newer high lift lobes and check PTV clearance.
