Which should be next!?!?

Alright everybody. As you can see in my signature I have a 02 SS which came already equiped with the SLP free flowing exhaust (center mount) which says that it boosted my hp to 345. is this true?....i have no idea. I haven't have a chance to strap it up to a dyno. What mod should I do next to increase the hp on this car. This includes suspension and drive train mods. This is my first camaro...so i'm a rookie

Thanks Guys

One of the first things I've ever done to any of my f-body's is subframe connectors, it will make the car feel much tighter and hopefully keep some squeaks away. I've always gone with BMR subframes.

Also, congrats on the new car, any pics of it yet?

No not yet. I really want to give it a good detail before....but I don't think I can wait. So I'll mostlikely have some pics of it in the next couple of days

Your car would have had to come from SLP with a lid AND exhaust to be a 345hp car. So if you don't have an air lid (and I will assume you don't sense you didn't say anything) then you need to get one of those.

Sorry guys I forgot about that one. It also came with a lid. I was thinking about getting headers or getting some suspension parts.

headers will be the next best upgrade. longtubes will really wake the car up and let it breath.

some LCA and relocation brackets will really help you launch better and sway bars will give the car a great feel in the curves.

Longtubes & Y-Pipe. If A4, purch a stall converter & 3.73 gears. If M6, 4.10's. Your gonna need a rearend all together as well.

If auto you have 3.23 in the SS and with a stall you don't really NEED gears too. I ran mine with 3.23s and 3.42s It currently runs 11.5s with 3.42s. And still gets 20 MPG hwy.

As said above if you have the money to spend get a torque converter and some DR's as well. Headers are also a great next mod. All depends on what you want your car to be capable of and how much you have to spend.

What stall speed are you running on your converter? If you could would you go higher or lower? Cam specs also if you know'm off the top of your head! Thanks for your response.

Re: Which should be next!?!?

I have a 99 SS camaro just from the mods I have on my car and the ones on my friends F-body's this is what helped us the most.

Mods Stall (vigilante, midwest, and PT) I drive my car everyday I have 3600 and I love it
Headers ( we all have Coated JetHot LTs)
Lid(MTI,SLP, Texas speed and performance)
Catback(borla adjustable, every one else I know has an x-pipe with true duals) If you get true duals have the exhaust guy make the x as soon as possible after the long tubes
Gears(3.73 for the autos its really not bad on gas, you just want to keep your foot in it)
As far as suspension what helped us the most were relocation brackets(weld ons)Lower control arms and best of all the torque arm.You can get an a air bag for $30 from thunder racing
Intakes( ls6 is good, fast intake is better)
computer programing (Bryan Pcmforless)

Good luck you really have to many choices
