Shifter Question

Has anybody bought this item or heard of it? Is it worth the money or no? I have a factory hurst in my 01 ss. Let me know what you think. Is this a good price?

I've got a "Jarrod's Short Stick" on my Hurst. It's much more precise and shortens the throw (at the expense of requiring a little more force due to less leverage). It took a little getting used to, but I like it.

As far as worth it? Yeah, but I wouldn't go over $25 shipped for it. I got mine from Jarrod for $25 to my door.

yeah I think thats where I bought mine. I like the shifter not being so high and the absence of rubber alows you to fee the shifter a little better. See if the seller can make the thread a little longer, mine has a real long thread and I'm thinking about taking a little more off to make it a little shorter.

If you have an opinion on this item please let me know even if it has been said. Also does anyone have a pic of one of this installed? How is the installation, easy or hard? Let me know before I bid on it. Also does anyone know how long the stock one is with a hurst shifter?

thanks

it will prob take about an inch off. Its easy to install. Just unscrew the Hurst handle unbolt the stock one, pull off the boot, intall the other one and then put back together.

I got a stick just like that off of Ebay.

Sure, it was shorter, and the shifts were smaller - but it was harder to shift. Not enough leverage can make the shifting a bit hard at times.

Sure, I'm no weight lifter, but im not THAT weak.

he is right, it does take a bit more strength. But I like the shorter bar cause it doesn't cut off my circulation like the stock empire state building one.

I want a hurst billet plus with a chrome stick and white shifter ****. Looks cooler, feels better and doesn't take as much effort as short throw shifter.
