seting timing

Unhappy seting timing

hey guys i need your help here i recently put a zex nitrous system on my 2002 z28 camaro and i need to set my timing i do not know how to do this or if i need to set it from the motor or by the comuter? im thinking if i set it by turning the crank the computer will resest its self . if any of you guys have set timing on your ls1 please let me know how you did that thank you

The ECU will adjust it.

Might want to research LS1 N2O applications a bit more prior to hitting the bottle.

ok thanks for the input also if i was to buy a programmer could i set the ecu where i want it? or am i gonna have to send it off to get it programed?

I wouldn't use a handheld with spray. Their programs tend to advance timing.

You could time it yourself if you got a program like LS1 edit or EFI live is a new one. Those would work but kinda expensive. I believe LS1 edit is what alot of shops use when dyno tuning but not sure.

google timing tuner and you'll get links to several products. There are LS1 specific timing retard boxes out there. They hook into your nitrous system and retard the timing only when you're spraying.
