SES light.......helpppp

After installing my new SLP MAF, my SES keeps tripping the running lean codes 171 and 174, which mean bank1 and bank2 are running lean... I don't want to purn out my rings, and I want to get this fixed without putting back on the stock MAF... (does not trip the light with that MAF on) Is there a way to edit the computer so it adds more fuel? If anyone knows how to do this, or has another idea, pelase post.

I'll ask the obvious question .... have you called SLP and asked them?

Also, a stupid question ... this is a true SLP MAf, right? You didn't go buy the truck MAF as suggested by GMHTP magazine a few months ago, right? You bought this MAF direct from SLP, right?

If ya throw the truck MAF on there without proper calibration, it will throw the codes.

Probably the easiest way to adjust the air/fuel mix is by getting a MAFT. Easy to install and easy to adjust. I think they run about $180 new.
