Ses

First of all I would like to say, thank you all who gave me the input on which car to buy, unfortunately I couldn't get financing for the Z.....However, to the point.

While driving home my SS threw an SES light and the car suddenly got a teeny bit more sluggish on the acceleration. It sounded fine, the temp was around 190, and oil pressure was just below 60. The only thing I did notice was that the car seemed to idle 200 RPM lower at every speed but idle. Example, usually at 55 in 5th gear the car is at 2k RPM, after the SES light came on it was about 1800 or so. The car was missing an air filter when I bought it (replacing soon) so I dunno if that could have caused the problem or not.

I'll have autozone check the code tomorrow, but I just figured I'd see if you guys could give me any insider tips.

Thanks, Greg

I'll take a blind guess at the EGR valve.

Re: Ses

Hmm...actually the code(s) came back as an improperly functioning cat and bad heating element on the rear 02. For some reason however, just like my 93, the moment the SES light comes on it starts accelerating like there's a squirrel jammed in the TB Just in case the car dealer won't take care of it could there be any other reason that code would pop up? (ways that wouldn't involve me buying an $80 sensor and rolling around in the snow)
