Re: Serp belt....

Is the belt broken? Are you positive it was routed correctly? Are you sure that all of the ribs were lined up correctly on your pulleys? Is your tensioner weak?

Re: Serp belt....

Im guessing the tensioner is bad. if it was not installed correctly (not lined up in the grooves) by this time it would have made alot of noise, and torn up the belt. however, it is POSSIBLE it wasnt installed right. in which case they should pay for the reinstallation AND the two bill. also, when you get it towed back in there, if they say the tensioner is bad, have them show you. a dishonest mechanic will tell you its bad so you have to pay for everything.

Wasn't it this dealer who installed it wrong in the first place?

Re: Serp belt....

well, unfortunatly everyone makes mistakes. even dealership mechanics. but only a good shop will admit it and make up for it by paying for his tow bill.
