Seafoam on new plugs = bad idea?
Seafoam on new plugs = bad idea?
Finally got new plugs (damn #8!!!) and wires in this weekend at 80,000 miles on my 00' SS. Then did some reading on the board and found out sea foam is the all god for a tune ups and thinking i might have ****ed up by not doing sea foam first then changing the plugs. My question is if it's worth my time to sea foam my car or if it will just foul my plugs and make it to where I have to replace my plugs again. I don't think my engine is that dirty as I use the injector cleaners from auto zone semi regularly (5,000 miles or so) but just thought I'd ask first to see if I should just buy some new plugs or not
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Seafoam on new plugs = bad idea?
it's designed to clean the carbon buildup off the inside of the combustion chambers....the spark plugs are in the combustion chamber...so in theory it should clean them off.
so if they are new...it should have no affect what so ever
seafoam on brotha!!!!
smoke the neighbors out

you dump it in the brake booster line then shut off the car as soon as the car empties. then after a half hour or so, start it back up and bellow out some white smoke for about 20 miles

Just did the 03 Sierra 5.3 yesterday. Has 51000 miles on it and the smoke cloud only lasted about 1/2 a mile.
