running lean?
running lean?
ok tonight i saw light colored smoke coming out of my exhaust. it was about 70 degrees at night and my friends headlights were shining on my exhaust. i dont normally see any smoke though. so was it the situation or could i be running a little lean? when a friend and i were driving and we decided to floor it, a friend behind us said they saw white smoke from my exhaust which makes me worried i am running lean.
if so how do i fix it, and what could be causing me to run lean? thanks

Re: running lean?
burning of gasoline produces water as a byproduct, alot of times you'll see steam comng from the exhaust.
the "puff" could have been condensed water in the exhaust (muffler) that was suddenly blown out when you floored it.
if it's running fine...i wouldn't worry about it
