rockers
I was thinkin bout it too. Didn't wanna go through the hassle of swapping cams, but I like the idea of an extra 20hp. If you went to a 1.85, I'm pretty sure you'll need new springs. I think the LS6 ones will work. On SLP's site, they have an application chart for 1.85 rockers, springs & stock cams ( http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=53300 ). After looking at their rockers though, the Comp Cams new adj. roller rockers seem to be built much better. They're supposed to fit under stock valve covers, which will make things a little easier. There's also a new company that's making some rockers that'll fit under the valve covers...Harland I think. They were talking bout them over @ http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/archiv...x.php/t-120681 . There's pics about 2/3 the way down the page. Makes it awefully tempting if you ask me.
Bad thing about 1.85 rockers is that most high performance cams recommend you not use them. So if you plan on a cam swap later you might as well save your money for other mods.
because the springs are all but maxed out, you HAVE to swap springs...even if you plan to just go 1.75 ratio...you pretty much have to!
that makes the task a lot harder.
i've done a bunch of research on these, i have it all at work, will post tomorrow if possible..
brands, ratios, things needed, places to buy them and prices
