are the rocker arms on a stock LS1 roller, or atleast a roller tip? or are they just the stamped junk? just wondering...never been inside an LS1.

Re: rocker arms?

Roller fulcrum not roller tip. They will handle just about anything you'll throw at them.

Re: rocker arms?

stock rockers are fine. they say about .630 lift is max though. but alot of different things come into play. they won't work on any other chevy head.
i have patriot golds and 611/619 lift spin to 6800 stock rockers and lifters no problems yet.

Re: rocker arms?

Probably because the fulcrum would be a larger contact area and therefore cause more friction than the tip.

Re: rocker arms?

because the roller tip is a myth of it working. if you've ever put a timing light onto a rocker while the engine is running, you'll notice the wheel doesn't move at all. but, the idea has been around for so long, it has stayed. crane cams is currently looking into making a roller pad instead of wheel.
