Removing EGR, what to plug intake with?

Hey guys, when I install my headers I am removing my EGR. What should I plug the intake hole with? I don't have the cash to pop for an LS6 intake as of yet, what can I use for the meantime that wont look bad? Thanks guys!

there are many bolt kits that go for about $30 that will close the opening with rubber/metal plate fitting. You can get them on eBay, and Paceparts.com Also try searching for "EGR/AIR Bolt Kit"

You can use a 1 3/8" freeze plug - you can get one from any auto parts store for a couple dollars.

Thanks for the pic!! That looks like something I could fill in around with JB weld or something, and then make a plate to go over it.

What is the gain of blocking off the EGR valve? I heard of it being done.
