Re: rarity

There were 708 BC4's built in 2002. If you want to break the production numbers down by colors,
 this book this book
will do so. Their data is suppose to come from ComNine.

Re: rarity

Can you please post a picture of the "Service Parts Information" sticker on your driver's side door or provide a VIN number?
As far as I know, SLP never converted B4C cars into SS models.
They were only made from Z28 models.

The book linked above list the 2002 B4C cars as not coded RPO Z28. I don't have a copy of a 2002 Order Guide, but the picture below is from the 1998 Order Guide and it shows you had to order a base equipped coupe and add the B4C option.

Yes, I am well aware of the B4C ordering.
RPO B4C eliminated the Z28 badging and other content (like T-Tops), but also added other goodies (heavy duty alternators, suspension bushings, etc.)

I have the 2002 SS order sheets from SLP and there is no mention of B4C.
That being said, strange things did happen at times.
This is why I want to get the VIN or see a picture of the door trim tag.

Re: rarity

The thread starter hasn’t returned to this site since a few minutes after his first post.

The ultimate authority on the existence of such a vehicle would be David Hamburger of Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) in Toms River, NJ. Dave is one of the original owners of SLP. After selling SLP to Roush in 2013, Dave eventually founded SVE. Still in the same facility in Toms River, and turning out 1,000 HP Camaros and other GM vehicles. David reportedly retains the SLP SS records.

Contact David Hamburger.

Re: rarity

Kinda makes you wonder if the original post is a hoax. “lsxcody” signed off 4 minutes after his initial post and never came back to the site.
