how rare if at all is the pewter color on 99 z-28's?

 

It is not a rare color at all.

 

pretty common....rarest colors for LS1s were sport gold, bright green, bright purple, and i believe cayenne red. these were all 98 only colors.

 

Pewter was on 20.6% of Camaros made in 1999. The only color used more was black by 0.2%.

Pewter is pretty popular where I live.

 

This pretty much sums it up... it is the 'anti-rare' color.

interestingly enough light pewter metallic would be an EXTREMELY rare color....if you had a 98.....63 1998 camaros were sprayed with LPM paint even though it was not a 98 model available color and used as fleet vehicles before being re-sold to the public in 1999. only 30 of these were Z28 coupes and 10 were Z28 convertibles. There were no LPM 98 SSs.

just a little useless fact for ya....if ya happen to come across someone selling a pewter 98 Z28, run the vin if it comes up legitimate, grab it..might be worth something someday.

 

wish i had my little brothers car.he has one of the,which i did not know until today,ultra rare orange w/white 99 ss z-28's.last time i drove it,about 2 weeks ago back home in ga. it had only 6800 miles on it.sadly,he has been in afghanistan,iraq,and god knows where else for the past 2 years so the car has seen very little action save for when we go home to visit and uncover it and take it out just to keep it from rusting away!!!
