-Ok, so I bought a 2001 vette and she is stock... we all know that wont work (truthfully, I got beat by another car..so I'm slow now)

Anyhow, I need a suggestion on a cam and heads.. AFR? I want to keep it as a street car- I don't need another car that breaks down all the time.

Get a ported set of LS6 heads. They can be had for less than $1000, no cores required.

There are lots of good cam options, and they all seem to cost about the same, so pick whatever you want.

Assuming you do all of the supporting mods (intake, headers, catback, injectors, tune, etc), you should have no trouble getting well over 400 rwhp with that setup. 430-440 is pretty easy, and if you really work at it, I've seen 470+ from a very thorough heads/cam LS1.

Is your Vette an A4 or an M6?

They've got some nice H/C packages that'll pick you up 90+rwhp for under $2k. Check out the Torquer v.2 cam. I'm tuning a couple cars with this cam and it does pretty good.
