Quick Question

What oil filter do I need and how many quarts for my car, I couldn't see a filter number and didn't see it in the owners manual and its my first time to change it. Car in sig. Thanks

You'll need 5.5 quarts of 5W-30.

I use a Fram PH3506 filter, some don't prefer that brand.

Mine takes right about 6 quarts. Mobil 1 10W30.

AC filter #PF44. GM made the motor. GM makes the filter. Only way I will go. Some like the Mobil 1 filters, but..... guess I am just stubborn.

LS1's take 6 quarts? I think my LT1 uses 5???

My manual list 5.5 quarts with filter change. I also use AC delco filter PF44. I use mobil 1, 5w-30. Fill up the oil filter when you change the oil before you screw it on, just to help shorten the time that the engine is going to be pumping up the system before oil goes to everything. Look in your manual a little harder, you will find it in there unless someone tore out the pages.
