Re: Quick!! Exhaust Question

if the cats are still on it...go for it. it will be loud...a bit raspy at wot but should sound good around town.

and honestly...you may just see an increase in gas mileage. i know i got a consistent 2mpg more when i put a good catback on my car.

Here we go again. If the car is stock with the cats still on cutting the muffler off will be no different than getting an SLP Loudmouth. No resonator but it won't be much different.
Have you thought of doing the Dynomouth? It's a pretty cheap way to get louder.

I say get a cutout. $40 plus whatever the exhaust shop will charge to weld it up.

Lets get to the core of the problem here.
A. Why/What do you think it would hurt.
B. Why do you think less exhaust restriction will adversly effect your fuel consumption?

Re: Quick!! Exhaust Question

If all you're interested in is getting loud quickly, cheaply (free) and easily ... just go old school and punch up the muffler with a screwdriver.

Re: Quick!! Exhaust Question

Sure! It would be ghetto, but effective. With the cats still in place, it won't sound TOO bad, but you will get a lot of interior drone.
