. That's one thing Ford did right with the Mustang. AFAIK, they've been using forged pistons (maybe rods and crank too, but I'm not sure about that?
) since the days of the 5.0 L, and now in the 4.6 L too 
. Just too bad they never used the forged internals to the fullest, 'til GM dropped out of the race and Ford decided to put a SC on the 4.6 L

And yeah, it makes sense that the new ones need forged pistons!
