Question about Heads and Cam

I am planning on buying a set of heads and a cam for my 02 WS6, and I think I have the heads I want. They flow pretty good from what I am seeing. I need to find a cam that will a.) work with these heads and b.) be emission legal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even suggestions as to other head/cam combo's. Thanks. Heres the link to the heads I was looking at--->
http://www.canfieldheads.com/sbc_2600.html. And I was looking at the .600 lift set. Thanks guys, Wes

Those heads will not work with your car. Those are not LS1 heads. If you are looking to get a set of ported LS1 heads, the going rate is about $1200 for a good set from Patriot or Absolute Speed.

Once you talk to the head builder, they can recommend a cam that will work well with their heads.

I went with a set of stage 2 heads from CHS, and went with a 228/224 112LSA reverse split and am very happy with how it turned out.

Where are you located? What kind of emissions standards do you need to satisfy?

You may want to check out this site:
Eastern F-body Association
There are quite a few guys from the Maryland area there that can let you know about emmissions laws.

Find out how strict the emmissions laws are. We can get you into a heads/cam setup for a very good price. Just let us know what you want out of the setup. Just a street setup, strip setup, etc.
What else have you done to the car? A4, M6?

Ported and revalved heads really dont affect emissions much, its the cam and your exhaust setup that make a difference.

I know of at least one person who passed California emissions with a 224/224 114LSA cam and full exhaust, so I'd bet that you should be able to go with that type of setup.

You already have an 02, so that means you have the LS6 intake, get yourself a 224/224 from any sponsor that sells it, check out Patriot Performance's Stage 2 heads, and get yourself some headers, and with an Automatic transmission, you should get very close to 400 RWHP, with a M6, you should be able to hit 405-410 RWHP with that setup and still remain emissions legal.
