QTP Headers... Worth the money?

Well i admit, i want the best. i priced out the headers and Y pipe for my car at roughly 1100 bucks. Are they worth this money???

SLP = hang to low
FLP = Having some Clearing problems
Jet Hots, Hookers, and Pacesetters - only 22 rwhp (average).

I know 22 horsepower is worth it to some but i was under the impression a nice set of long tubes is good for 30+. I have never heard anything bad from QTP but i really haven't seen a dyno chart. I just see on their site 18 MORE HP MORE THEN ALL OTHER LONG TUBES.

Can i plz get some input on these headers and if they are actually worth the extra money.

Headers 30+ rwhp??? Not really. That would be hard to pull off even with a cam let alone just the set of LTs.

You think that's bad? Check out Dynatech headers with merge collecters. $950 and that's just the headers.

Yes worth the money. First off they are made in 304 stainless steel. Just that alone its worth it. Not like the cheaper headers out there that will rust a couple of months on the car. Having that golden header look is sweet.

I have them on my Z28 and have not had a chance to get dynoed. Dyno numbers arent everything. If they where the 41 hp gain with SLPs would be the most powerful headers out there. And we know SLPs are the worst performing header of the bunch. I gained 3 tenths at the track with my QTPs. I am very pleased with the perfomance and ease of installation. Add the QTEC to it and have the sweetest sounding exhaust on a ls1.

Don't rule out the PPC headers. I think they have the former Grottyohan design that is hard to beat. Like the other top guys, these are $1200~$1500 for LS1's.

30 horsepower with cam/headers is very doable blaCKz....

3 Tenths u say? i would say thats roughly 30 horsepower as it is... (my logic: Lid = 1 tenth = roughly 8 hp.) Of course that could be wrong and crappy logic. Does anyone else have QTP headers that may have a dyno chart or any other supporting info? 1100 bucks is quite a bit (i know there are companys that are more) but compared to something like Hooker or jet hot its alot.

yes 30 hp is doable from cam and headers but not just from headers like i was saying. But you get more from headers with a cam.

My point was 30 rwhp is not even a challenge to get out of headers + a cam.

Anyway, QTP info plz
