Putting L/T Headers w/ 1.5" drop
Hey guys I have a 1.5" drop with the Eibach Pro Lowering Springs on my LS1. Will I be able to put a pair of SLP Headers on my car without dragging them on the ground. Over the weekend I saw someone with SLP L/T Headers at stock ride height and his cats were very close to the ground, and with my car being 1.5 lower I dont know if it will fit, Did anyone put L/T header on a lowered LS1, which headers work best?
Thanks
Mike

Re: Putting L/T Headers w/ 1.5" drop
SLP headers are the WORST clearance design on the market
look into QTP or Kooks if you want to stay with stainless.
or just get some hooker, jethots, pacesetter or flowtech coated headers.
my headers tuck up nicely. the 3" ypipe hangs a bit low but not horrible. i plan to lower the car soon.
i would measure how much clearnce you have under the frame along the route of the Ypipe, and figure that most ypipes will be 3" ....see how much clearance you'll have.
you can always have a custom 2.5" ypipe made...to give a bit mroe clearance

Re: Putting L/T Headers w/ 1.5" drop
I think you'll have clearance issues I have the SLP L/T headers on my SS, which isn't lowered, and while I don't have any problems driving on the highway, etc., just getting over speed bumps is a hazard
I like the SLP L/T's, but check out all options if you want to lower your car.
