Question Problem when driving over 75mph

I bought a 2001 Camaro SS in march. And today when I was on the highway I took it up to 80mph. When I hit 75 and over, the whole car shakes BADLY. Any suggestions, for what could be causing it to shake.

Could be out of balance wheels and or drive shaft. Try getting the wheels balanced first.

Hope this helps

The tires are fine, they all have 30 psi, but the tread on the two tires in the rear are almost bald and I need to get new ones. Could it be the tires?

i would take it in. the dealer has software for this. there are so many areas it could be. and if it is plugs or something that you can do yourself have the dealer see what it is for you. fix yourself.i was looking the the serice manual on this. there are hunders of pages on vibration causes.

Furthermore, the front end needs to be aligned because it runs to the right a little.

where does it come from? it should start somewhere at a low speed and then shake the car, if it was tires. if its in the drive line the whole car will shake and shake more with more speed?

It fells like its coming from the front of the car. Between 0-70, it rides very smooth, but when it starts to climb over 70, it gets pretty rough.
This weekend I'm getting the front end aligned for free and new tires from my brother's job. If its still shaking I'll take it to the dealer.

It's your tires. Period. Bald, worn incorrectly tires. Get new tires and an alignment. An alignment that is out will not in itself cause a vibration. What it does to the tires will.

i agree, its ur tires period, becuase that happend to me, but once i got my new tires, i hit 153mph, tryin to top my car out, and there was a hell of a difference, i didnt even get much shake, as when i had bald tires lol. tell u the truth i did it twice, and it didnt shake at all, and i dont have any suspension mods at all either.
