Problem starting car & DTC Question

I had a little problem today with my car. I went to start it and nothing happen, tried again, nothing happen, tried again and it turned over and started like normal. I got home plugged in my predator and got a fault code of P1626. I looked it up and came up with this: P1626 Theft Deterrent System - Fuel Enable Circuit.

Does anyone know why this happened?

I recently had a similar problem. I would go to start the car and it wouldn't turn over. So, I tried several times and it finally started, but the SECURITY light would stay on. The problem was the ignition cylinder wasn't reading the right voltage from the current it runs through that little "chip" in my key. That was causing the computer to cut the fuel/spark to the engine when I tried to start the car. Since I had my extended warranty, I had the dealership replace the ignition cylinder and key for $50 (deductable). If you don't have a warranty, you should try to get the parts and see if you can do it yourself. Otherwise, it'll be close to $300 for the dealer to do it.

I found out the problem . The chip on the key was dirty that's why it was doing that.

Thanks to you I fixed it!!
