power steering pump is broke. Anyone know how much a new one is? 1998 trans am.

Before your pump broke, did fluid start to seep out from under the reservoir's cap?

 

Yeah a little bit. I never noticed it much then one day it wasn't working right and the fluid level was low.

 

Damn. My fluid was recently seeping out and was a little low, so I bought Prestone power steering fluid with that StopLeak! stuff. The level is normal now, but everytime I open my hood, the cap is always under mild pressure and fluid seeps out a little bit. Everyone I asked said this is normal, but I don't see how something starting to leak all of a sudden is normal.

 

Thats exatly ho mine started! To top it off my freeking drivers side door window motor is acting up!
