Hey guys.

I just put a new altenator on my car, hooked the battery back up, and now my car is cutting off the power when switched to the ON position. ?? WTH? Was I supposed to reset somethin?
I got the charger out to check voltage and it reads just fine. Thanx in advance!

 

battery perhaps? If you replaced an alternator chances are your battery took most of the punishment there.

 

I know it wasn't the battery, I made sure I fully charged it, and I also had it tested @ advanced. However, after letting it sit for about 3-4 hours it fired right up...strange. But yea... that was my first thought as well.

 

battery connections clean? I had corrosion on my + terminal that used to cut the power when I tried to start it. New battery fixed that problem.

 

That makes 2 of us. I had the exact same problem and it was corrosion on the terminal. check to see what it looks like.

 

Yep, bad connection somewhere.
