Post Possibly buying 2000 Z28 M6...what to look for.

The heading sums it up pretty good...I found a 2000 Z28 m/6 with 25000 miles on it for 16000...I have owned a tpi and lt1 f-bod but never a ls1. Is there anything specific i should be looking for. Thanks

2000's had a slight problem with the oil pump failing, but you won't know till it happens. They can have a 'ticking' in the engine bay, which may be a bad pulley (TSB out on it) or valvetrain noise on warm up. As with any f-body, check the underbody to ensure that no one have lifted the car improperly, causing some hidden body damage. Rear end will make noise (clunk-clunk-clunk) when not under load, when coasting at slow speeds or cornering (its normal).
