Question Possible low idle - may have a problem

Ok here is the question, the idle on my 2000 Z28 is about 800 rpms when warm and about 1K when cold. From reading multiple threads about engine problems, it sounds like everyone else's idle is around 1K when warm and between 1200-1500 when cold. Could there be a problem with the computer or is the idle normal. Anyone out there have the same idle speed as my car or should I start looking into having the car checked out or reprogram the computer? The car runs normal and feels/sounds fine - as far as the engine is concerned. Thanks for in advance for any feedback.

are you talking about idling in park or in gear at a stop light?
My 2000 Z28 idles even lower than 800 if it is in drive.
My PCM was just reprogrammed a couple months ago and it runs great.

your fine.. the tach might be slightly off a bit when comparing differnt cars.

If you really want to check, I believe you can autotap and check the value of the idle adjuster thingie. There's a little pin i believe that should move around... check for vacuum leaks too.
