Ok I was needing to know if it is possible to remove the oil pan from an 02 Z28 from under the car with out having to raise the engine? I can get to all the bolts but I just cant tell once I get all the bolts off if it will come out or not.

I need to pull the oil pan off because I think I may have spun a bearing so I am wanting to pull the pan to see whats going on.

 

Someone must know. Please post if you do. I was going to pull the oil pan later today if its possible with raising the engine.

 

drop the whole front cross member?

I would think that you'd need to jack the engine up and support it somehow to get enough clearance to pull the pan out.

 

yea i've spun a bearing before and that sucks....yup engine has to come up
