Posi Rear end question

I have a 2000 Z. The last couple months it has begun screeching the tires around tight corners. Has anyone else ran into this? Normally I wouldn't be that concerned being it is a posi rear, but it goes off of warranty in a few weeks, and I just want to be safe. Thanks

If it's under warranty, take it in. I'm getting rearend warranty work done as we speak. I only have 1K left on my warranty.

More info please:

At low speeds?
Screeching like the inside rear tire is trying to slip on the pavement?
The front doesn't want to turn?

If it feels like the car always wants to go straight and seems to make the tires slip and hop while turning your posi is continuously locking both axles and needs to be checked out. My Silverado has done this a few times. My dad's too. My SS has never done it. But that's how I would describe it.

Did I assume correctly?

Yep, that's exactly it. The posi doesn't let go all the way and anytime you make a uturn, turn in a parking lot, etc. the tires squeal. It's going in Wednesday as factory warranty is done the 16th. This is the 6th time I have had to have this car serviced since I bought it and I baby the thing! It's gotten to the point where I am seriously comtemplating selling it. What did they do to the silverado to correct it?

I backed out of the parking spot. Turned onto the highway and nailed the gas. The back end fishtailed a little and I never noticed it again.

My dad and I both noticed it after we got on it hard and figure the posi function just didn't release easily. But after beating on it both freed up.

Sorry. Maybe you baby it TOO much.
